Union of Democratic Socialists (SDS, Russian: Союз демократических социалистов, romanized: Soyuz demokraticheskikh sotsialistov) is a Russian social democratic coalition consisting of Russian Russian Social Democratic Union of Youth, Left Socialist Action, internationalist faction of the Social Democratic Party of Russia and various newspapers of social democratic ideology.[1][2]
The organization was established on April 27, 2014[3]
The movement regularly participated in opposition actions and rallies.[4]
In the 2021 legislative election, the SDS supported the candidate for a single-mandate constituency from the CPRF Mikhail Lobanov[5]
The SDS opposed 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine,[6][7] and Pavel Kudyukin, a member of the SDS coordinating council, began to appear regularly on Ilya Ponomarev's February Morning news resource[8][9]
