Vero is a public relations and integrated marketing communications consultancy headquartered in Southeast Asia, with offices in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The company also maintains partnerships in Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia. It was founded in 2007 by former journalist Brian Griffin.[1] Vero provides public relations, influencer marketing, and event management services.

Vero is a member of Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), the largest trade association for public relations agencies and communications professionals.

Vero is recognized among the region's leading communications consultancies, having earned Agency of the Year awards from trade media and PR organizations. In 2025, Vero was named among the Best Agencies in Asia[2] and among the 10 Best Agencies to Work For in Asia[3] by PRovoke Media. The consultancy was also named Southeast Asia Influencer Marketing Agency of the Year in 2024[4] by Campaign Asia.

Vero broke into the Global Top 250 PR Agency Ranking in 2023 after achieving a 46.8% revenue growth from 2021.[5] The ranking was topped by Edelman, Weber Shandwick, and BCW.

Vero is among the pioneering signatories of the Clean Creatives Pledge in Asia, which commits agencies to accepting no contracts with fossil fuel companies, and is among the few communications consultancies in Southeast Asia to receive B Corporation certification.

History

Vero was founded in 2007 by Brian Griffin, a former director at the Thailand office of Hill & Knowlton, a global public relations firm.[1]

In 2008, the company began regional expansion with the establishment of a subsidiary in Vietnam, followed by an office in Myanmar in 2012. In 2016, Vero became a Google Agency Partner.[7]

In 2019, Vero expanded its regional presence by opening an office in Jakarta, Indonesia[8] and reestablishing its operations in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, as a wholly owned office.[9] Vero opened its fifth office in Manila, Philippines in 2022[10] to establish a physical presence in the most populous countries of Southeast Asia.

In 2022, Vero launched Vero Xperience, a specialist arm dedicated to event management, including brand and product launches, conferences and business networking, pop-up exhibitions, and influencer events.[11]

As part of its regional expansion, Vero established a Singapore office in late 2023 under the leadership of Lin Kuek.[12]

In 2024, Vero launched Vero Advocacy, a government relations consultancy with operations in Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, and partnerships in Indonesia and the Philippines. Specializing in public policy and stakeholder engagement, Vero Advocacy helps businesses in Southeast Asia keep abreast of changing laws and political shifts, providing advice, practical solutions, and campaigns that can help brands connect with government bodies and key partners.[13]

In response to the growth of influencer marketing in Southeast Asia, Vero established a team of influencer relations specialists and launched its own influencer network, MicroFluent, in 2025.[14][15]

In the same year, Vero launched the Creators Association of Southeast Asia (CASA), together with Creative Growth Entertainment, DKCIndo, and Mantappu Corp, to support content creators, advocate for industry standards, and drive cross-border collaborations within the region.[16]

Clients and Services

Vero offers services across disciplines: public relations, influencer marketing, government relations, and events management. The consultancy advises clients across a diverse range of industries.[17]

Vero has worked with notable multinational companies, including TikTok, Unilever, Nestle, Lululemon, and Changi Airport.[18] In 2024, Microsoft Philippines tapped Vero's Manila team to support artificial intelligence education and the promotion of Microsoft Copilot in the country.[19]

Vero’s recent work includes a corporate social responsibility campaign with energy drink producer TCP for the creation of 20 community sports yards across Vietnam, providing social media, public relations, and influencer marketing support.[20] In its first year, the campaign resulted in the conversion of nine underused spaces into community facilities, featuring football, basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts, and was recognized as one of the most influential social media campaigns in Vietnam.[21]

Other recent initiatives include support for the "Duolingo English Test: Empowering Dreams, Defying Boundaries" campaign, which connected Duolingo with Indonesian government agencies, scholarship-giving bodies, and aspiring international scholars;[22] as well as the Thai Foodie Map project, developed in collaboration with Booking.com and the Tourism Authority of Thailand with a goal of promoting lesser-known tourist destinations.[23]

People and Governance

Vero is led by founder and CEO Brian Griffin.[1]

In May 2024, Vero formed its management team with key leadership appointments.[24] Sasha Alwani holds the Chief Strategy Officer role. A former Account Director at AKA Singapore, Alwani won the SEA Young Lions PR Competition in 2019.[25][26] Umaporn Whittaker-Thompson serves as Chief Commercial Officer and leads the firm's regional influencer marketing practice.[27] Supreeyaporn Sihawong manages the firm's human resources and culture as Chief People Officer. Thanpitcha Suksawad currently serves as Chief Financial Officer.[28]

Vero's team in Singapore is managed by Lin Kuek, who was named among Innovator 25 Asia Pacific by PRovoke Media in 2024.[29] Chatrine Siswoyo, who formerly led TikTok and Netflix's communications teams in Indonesia, joined Vero in 2024 as Senior Consultant for ASEAN.[30]

  • À La Carte Luxury: Gen Z's Selective Indulgence Approach to Travel analyzes travel habits and spending behaviors of Gen Z travelers from the Asia-Pacific region. Produced in collaboration with Travel+Leisure and Kadence International, the findings of the white paper were presented at the Luxury Summit Asia 2025 in Bangkok.[31][32]
  • Political Conversations on the Philippines: A Social Listening Guide for Brands Ahead of the 2025 Elections is an analysis of online political discourse in the Philippines prior to the 2025 PH midterm elections, providing insights for brands navigating the highly polarized and engaged electoral landscape.[33]

  • Impact, Engagement, and the Future of Influencer Marketing in Southeast Asia is a survey-based study of content creators in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, and Vietnam, highlighting the motivations, challenges, and aspirations of the key figures driving the creator economy in the region.[34]
  • Turning Hopes into Realities: Empowering Southeast Asia’s Youth Through Policy Change presents findings from a regional survey of 2,700 youth across Southeast Asian countries on their challenges and the public policies and government actions they prioritize.[35] This study is co-developed with international research firm Kadence International.[36]
  • AI and Journalism in Southeast Asia: A Survey of Opportunities and Challenges offers insights from journalists on the use of artificial intelligence in the newsroom.[37]

  • Greenwatching: A Playbook for Authentic Sustainability Communication in Southeast Asia offers strategies for how brands maintain transparency, responsibility, and accountability in communicating their sustainability initiatives, goals, and progress.[38][39]
  • How Brands Can Adapt to Filipinos’ Evolving Focus on Health and Wellness explores how the health, wellness, and F&B industries have changed post-COVID-19 pandemic. This study was co-authored with market research firm Decision Lab.[40]

Sustainability

In 2021, Vero became the first public relations agency in Asia to sign the Clean Creatives pledge.[42] The pledge is an initiative in which companies commit to decline contracts with fossil fuel companies, industry trade associations, and affiliated front groups.[43]

In 2024, the company was awarded a B Corporation certification by B Lab.[44] The certification is intended to recognize companies with "high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency" with regard to their social, environmental, and governance practices.[45]
