Vidya Sahai Mishra
Vidya Sahai Mishra (died 2019) was an Indian sarangi player from Varanasi.[1]
Biography[edit]
Mishra was the elder brother of tabla player Sharda Sahai Mishra. At a young age he started learning sarangi from Sita Ram Mishra.
Mishra continued under Panalal Mishra and then under the renowned sarangi player Hanuman Prasad Mishra. His son Prabhu Sahai Mishra died in a train accident in 2006. Mishra was one of the best known sarangi players from Varanasi. [1][2]
Mishra died in 2019 in Vanarasi.[1]
