Nabeel Khan is an Indian Sarangi player, composer, singer and songwriter. He is the eighth generation of Sarangi artists in his family.[1][2][3] Nabeel Khan belongs to the Moradabad Sainia Gharana of Sarangi players, and is the grandson of Sabri Khan.[1][2][4][5][6][7]

Early Life, music training and education[edit]

Born on September 2, 1999 in New Delhi, India.[1] Khan's training in Sarangi began early at age seven. Nabeel completed his schooling from Universal Public School in New Delhi. His father Ustad Nasir Khan and his uncle Ustad Kamal Sabri trained him.[1][2]

Family[edit]

His father is Ustad Nasir Khan, Sarangi, player and teacher at National Institute of Kathak Kendra, New Delhi, and his grandfather was Samrat of Sarangi Lt. Ustad Sabri Khan Saheb.[1][5]

Music career[edit]

Khan has given Sarangi recitals in music festivals like Sa Ma Pa, Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan, Delhi Youth Festival, Postage release ceremony of the legendary Ustad Sabri Khan Saheb.[8][9]

In November 2020, he released his debut original song 'Jaanejaan',[4][10][11] and in 2021 he released the songs 'Jazbaat Dil Ke Aise' and ' Tera Khayal Hai' 2021. [1][12][13]
