Vini Viswa Lal (Malayalam: വിനി വിശ്വലാൽ) is an Indian Screenwriter and Actor who works in Malayalam cinema[1][2]. His debut movie was Second Show[3][4](2012). His next film Koothara[5] starring Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Bharath and Sunny Wayne in the lead released in June 2014. His latest movie Theevandi[6][7][8] released on 7 September 2018, starring Tovino Thomas, Samyuktha Menon. Theevandi considered as one of the blockbuster success movies of 2018 in Kerala with 77% positive ratings by bookmyshow and box collection till date as 10 Cr (100 million) Indian Rupees.[9]. The screenplay for the vintage travel movie Starring Pournami[10] is also penned by Vini which is yet to be released.
He and his family are settled in Kakkanad in the Ernakulam district of Kerala.
Personal life[edit]
Vini Viswa Lal was born in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, on May 25, 1985. He is the eldest child of G Viswanathan Pillai, (Retd)District Transport Officer at KSRTC and Dr. S Nirmala Devi[11], (Retd)Principal at Farook Training college - Kozhikode. He has a younger brother Nivi Viswa Lal, a musician working for Malayalam film industry[12]. Vini grew up in Feroke, where he did schooling at Al-Farook residential school. He later studied in CUIET - Calicut University Institute of Engineering and Technology and graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2006, where Srinath Rajendran Malayalam movie director was his classmate and Sunny Wayne Malayalam movie actor was his senior.
He got married to Rinisha Vini in 2013 who works for Nielsen Visual IQ as software engineer.
