Wabwire W. Emmanuel is a Ugandan politician, social worker, student leader who served as the Guild president of Uganda Christian University 2012–2013.[1] In 2015, he contested for Youth Member of Parliament for Eastern region Uganda.[2][3][4]
Early life and education[edit]
Wabwire was born in Mbale District, Eastern Uganda. He holds a Bachelors degree in Development Studies from Uganda Christian University and a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Catholic University of Milan, Italy.[3][5][4]
Career[edit]
In 2012, Wabwire was voted as the student leader for Uganda Christian University 2012–2013.[5] He was on the Forum for Democratic Change ticket,[1] Phillip Mugume succeeded him. He served as the Chief executive officer of International Development Students Society (2011-2014). Currently he is the youth chairperson of the Uganda National Commission for UNESCO[2] since 2015. Wabwire also serves as executive director of Faraja Africa Foundation.[4] In 2015, he contested for the position of Youth MP for Eastern Region, Uganda[2] but lost to Dorothy Okware.[6]
