Whitney Bilyeu is an American politician from Texas who was the 21st chair of the Libertarian National Committee, the governing body of the Libertarian Party, from July 2021 to May 2022. She was elected on July 12, 2021, to fill the vacancy created by Joe Bishop-Henchman's resignation.[6] She did not seek election to a full term at the 2022 Libertarian National Convention and was succeeded by Angela McArdle.[7] She was the fourth woman to hold the office.[8] She is currently the chair of the Libertarian Party of Texas, and has run for public office in Texas three times.
Career[edit]
Bilyeu was elected Region 7 Representative to the Libertarian National Committee in May 2016, succeeding Kevin Ludlow.[9][10] She was elected Chair of the Libertarian Party of Texas on August 2, 2020,[11] and was re-elected at the April 2022 state convention for another two-year term.[12]
