The Wild Rose Casino and Resort is a casino in Clinton, Iowa[1] operated by Wild Rose Entertainment [2]and developed by Valley Bluff Development and was the first casino floor in Iowa not built over water, as regulated by former Iowa gaming regulations.
History[edit]
Wild Rose Entertainment purchased the Clinton Property in June of 2006 and opened the facility in July of 2008.[3] [4] The land based facility replaced the companies Mississippi Belle II[5] marking the end of the Clinton riverboat era.
Property Information[edit]
As the states first 100% land based casino, the 28 Acre resort features a 28,000 SF casino, a 60 room boutique hotel, a 15,000 SF events center, a 300 seat buffet, and several bars and themed tavern. The Project was design by Las Vegas Architect Edward Vance, FAIA who drew inspiration from the early 20th century regional architecture of the Midwest.
