Rajeev Yasiru Kuruwitage Mathew (born 21 June 1998, Sinhala: රජීව් යසිරු කුරුවිටගේ මැතිව්), popularly known as Yasiru Kuruwitage, is a Sri Lankan Internet celebrity, YouTuber, and Information Technology Consultant.[1] He later became a popular public figure in social media and mass media. [2]
Personal life[edit]
He was born on 21 June 1998 in Nugegoda, Colombo, Sri Lanka as the only child in a family. He grew up in modest circumstances in Udahamulla, a village situated in Nugegoda city. He completed his primary education at Sri Jayawardenepura Maha Vidyalaya and later attended private university for higher education.[3]
Career[edit]
in 2014, Yasiru started his career as Social Media Strategist for famous organization in Sri Lanka. He has provided localization and translation services for Google Translate, Facebook, Whats-App for couple of years regarding Sinhalese language. He specialize in emerging technology trends like Internet of Things (IOT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality and Cyber Security.[4]
