Biography[edit]

1996-2003: Its Beginnings[edit]

From a very young age he showed interest in music, he sang and made rhythms at the school table, where he later became the percussionist who performed the tribute to the flag. Meanwhile, at home he studied basic piano and percussion with teachers. In mid-high school, at age 9, he put music aside and moved to a sports school, he practiced kayaking in the mornings and studied his regular classes in the afternoons. Four years later he discovered the program "Fruity Loops" which he gives thanks to his cousin, who at that time was the vocalist and owner of the Hip Hop group "Hermanazos".

2004-2018: Education[edit]

At age 14, he moves to Mexico, begins to live and adapt to a new life. While he was studying pre-university, he was the singer of a group of young salseros called "Sobre Klave", there he began on stage as a professional musician. Later, he became a pianist and singer in the band. In 2009, he managed to study percussion at the Superior Institute of Music of the State of Veracruz (ISMEV), he entered the world of classical music and at nights he played in nightclubs with Banda XL de Cuba. In 2010, he recorded keyboards on the album "Paz Y Amor" by the Hermanazos group, an album that obtained nominations within the island at the 2010 CUBADISCO Awards.[1] After 4 years in that city, he decided to emigrate to the United States and continue his artistic growth in the city of Miami. He started again from scratch, and by washing cars in a carwash he managed to save money to buy a piano and some basic equipments to produce music. Later, he studied a technical course in sound engineering and upon graduating from it, he released his first musical single entitled "BOCA".[2] He also did work with artists on television shows and music awards that were held from Miami.

2019-2020: Tours / Concerts & Music Releases[edit]

At the end of 2019, he worked as a percussionist and keyboardist in the 12 historical concerts of Daddy Yankee at the Coliseo of Puerto Rico,[3] where he also accompanied Puerto Rican artists such as Wisin & Yandel, Ozuna, Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny, Luis Fonsi, Anuel AA, and among others. He also worked in concerts in early 2020 at the Calibash in Las Vegas, concerts in Mexico and New York. In his second featuring, he worked as a singer and co-producer of the song "Sin Trusa Y Sin Toalla"[4] along with renowned cuban artists Osmani García, Darian Alvarez and Manu Montero. The Music video was released on television in Mexico and the United States. The year 2020 has been a year of changes, but due to the pandemic and racial demonstrations around the world, Abel tried to find the positive side of the problems and thus turn it into music.[5] Hence he is inspired by two new songs, “N CASA” with Karla Nicole, and a month later he created “BLANCOS Y NEGROS SOMOS UNO”,[6].[7][8] the latter in support of equality and non-discrimination.[9][10] The song has Afrobeat influences and some samples from the famous speech I Have A Dream[11] by Martin Luther King Jr.[12] were also used.[13]
