Summary[edit]

Bilmuri is an American one man Indie Post-Hardcore band from Columbus, Ohio started by Johnny Franck in 2016.[1] The name Bilmuri is an abbreviated parody of the name of American actor, comedian, and writer Bill Murray best known for his time on Saturday Night Live and roles in movies such as Ghostbusters, Lost in Translation, Groundhog Day and Caddyshack.[citation needed] Bilmuri debuted in 2016 with their first three studio albums entitled "Jaguar Shark", "Letters" and a self-titled album. In 2017 Bilmuri would release their fourth and fifth studio albums entitled "Frame" and "Banana" along with their sixth and seventh studio albums entitled "Taco" and "Solid Chub" in 2018. A year later in 2019 they would release their eighth studio album entitled "Wet Milk" followed up with the "Pasteurized Milk" EP and then their ninth studio album "Rich Sips"[2][3] which were all well received among his current fanbase and gained more attention from former Attack Attack! fans by releasing a single from "Rich Sips" entitled "Thicc Thiccly" featuring former Attack Attack! bandmate and Beartooth vocalist Caleb Shomo parodying Attack Attack!'s hit single "Stick Stickly".[4] In early 2020 Bilmuri would release a collaborative EP called "Bilmuri and Friends" (or "Muri and Friends" for short) with Dayseeker, No Dice, Tilian Pearson, Jonathan Young, Lauren Babic, Surf Team and Whale Bones[5] and a 10th studio album entitled "Eggy Pocket" in the Fall.[6][7] At some point in late 2020 or early 2021 Reese Maslen of Ravine would join Bilmuri as their touring lead guitarist and backup vocalist along with Josh Manuel of Issues as their touring drummer.[citation needed] In September 2021 Bilmuri would release "Lordfarquadzilla" Featuring Jonathan Young as a single followed up by their 11th studio album "400LB Back Squat". On June 4th 2021 Bilmuri would host a livestreamed set of 17 songs entitled "Bilmuri Presents: The Hog Crankers Ball" that would later be released under the same name on streaming services, CD/DVD and for free download via Boketo Media. Later at some point in 2021 or early 2022 Gabi Rose of Enrose would join as their touring backup vocalist and saxaphone player along with Catherine Bliemel (better known as OBLVYN) who would join Bilmuri as their touring bassist and pianist/SFX specialist.[citation needed]
