The Influence and Reputation[edit]

Scholarly literature extensively relies on Cryptonews. Many authors (Craig Calcaterra,[8] Anna Wiśniewska,[9] Brian Blake, Ushnish Sengupta,[10] and others) used Cryptonews portal in their scientific writing as an important source in their published articles, books and other publications.[11] Author Nilanjan Raghunath used Cryptonews in arguing how cryptocurrencies and its economy can present a powerful disruption to financial institutions, investments, and markets.[12] In addition to that, cryptocurrencies are also being used as a way of achieving financial crime (money laundering, terrorist financing and corruption). In this research paper, the Bitcoins legality and illegality in different countries is presented upon Cryptonews writing.[13] Furthermore, Cryptonews was also a source in a scientific article about using Blockchain as a way of business process transformation in natural resources development.[14] Brian Blake from Drexel University cited an article from Cryptonews in his research of possible »AirBnb for Computing« idea.[15] Wide collection of information from Cryptonews and their writing about cryptocurrencies was also used in a recently published article about the use of malware and encryption.[16]

Dr. Joseph Bentley and Dr. Michael Toth titled their book Exploring Wicked Problems after Cryptonews reported that Miapetra Kumpula-Natri in the European Parliament referred to blockchain problems as "wicked problems,"[17] a few days after the New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern used the same term in another context.[17]
