Personal life[edit]

Career[edit]

Divya graduated with a Master of Philosophy in Nutrition from the University of Madras.[5] She conducts workshops on health-related issues, child labour, self-defence for women, and counselling sessions for Sri Lankan refugees.[6] She wrote to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, about medical malpractices and the NEET exams.[7][8]

Divya is the goodwill ambassador of Akshaya Patra Foundation, the world's largest midday meal programme.[9][10]

She partnered with World Vision India, assuming responsibility for four young girls.[11][5]

In 2020, Divya started Mahilmadhi Iyakkam to provide hygienic and healthy food to underprivileged communities.[12] She plans to enter politics in 2021.[8][13]

Awards[edit]

In 2019, Divya received the Women Achiever Award from Raindrops for community service.[5][13] In 2020, she was awarded an honorary doctorate by the International Tamil University, USA, for her contributions in nutritional therapy.[14]
