FrndiNeed (pronounced friend in need) is a socially-enabled app that allows users to connect with friends and travel safe. Developed by New Delhi-based tech start-up Smartube Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, the app claims to use geolocation tracking within a radius of 2.5 km.[1] Smartube is also the developer of Trendspotters.tv, a lifestyle website focused on trends in fashion, entertainment, mobile technology, and automotives.[2]

The app is claimed to have benefited users during the odd-even rule in New Delhi.[3][4]

FrndiNeed was launched in 2014 by Kunal Kishore Sinha.[5]

Sinha is a media industry entrepreneur. He is an alumnus of Delhi Public School[disambiguation needed]. Prior to launching FrndiNeed, Sinha has been the co-founder of Value 360 Communications, a public relations agency.
