Host Analytics Inc. is an American software company headquartered in Redwood City, California, with field offices in New York City and Hyderabad.[1] The company is known for its enterprise performance management (EPM) applications and cloud-based financial intelligence platform.[2][3] Host Analytics, Inc. is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution provider and its cloud-based delivery model assists organizations with budgeting, managing, predicting and evaluating their financial position.[4]

History[edit]

The company was founded by Jim Eberlin in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2001.[5] Host Analytics remained bootstrapped until 2008,[3] before receiving its initial venture funding from Advanced Technology Ventures and Trident Capital to further develop its product and reach a global clientele.[6] Over the next five years, the company raised a total of $61 million[7] that was primarily backed by Next World Capital, Advanced Technology Ventures, Star Vest Partners[8] and Trident Capital. In mid-2008, the company moved its headquarters location from O'Fallon, Missouri to Redwood City, California. The company further expanded its operations and opened offices in Missouri, Oklahoma and India.[9] It added big names to its client base, including NEC, Acciona Energy, Burlington Coat Factory, Crabtree & Evelyn, Time Warner Cable, Crocs and others that wanted to power their strategic financial processes.[10] In 2012, Host Analytics brought on new CEO Dave Kellogg, who had served more than 20 years in high growth companies like MarkLogic, Business Objects, and Salesforce.com. During an interview with Forbes, Kellogg stated the company is making $20 million in sales and planning an IPO in 2016.[3]

On November 25, 2014, the company announced USD $25M in Series E funding led by new investor Centerview Capital Technology, bringing the total raised to date to $77M. Also participating in this round were previous investors Advanced Technology Ventures, Next World Capital, StarVest Partners, and Trident Capital.[11]
