Huwaida Mustafa is an Egyptian media figure and a professor at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication for Graduate Studies and Research at Cairo University since September 2018, a member of the National Committee for Media and Press Legislation and the Radio Performance Development Committee at the National Media Authority since 2017, and a member of the Media Committee at The Supreme Council of Culture” since 2015, and a member of the “Supreme Council of Universities” secretariat in the media sector.[1]

She began her career as a teaching assistant in the Radio Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University in 1984, then became an assistant teacher in the same department in 1988, a teacher in 1994, then an assistant professor in 2000, and was promoted to the rank of professor in 2005.[2]

She held the position of Director of the Training, Documentation and Media Production Center at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University in 2011, Head of the Broadcasting Department at the same college (2012-2014) and Dean of the Higher International Media Institute in El Shorouk (2014-2017).[3]

She received the "Excellence Award" from the "Supreme Council of Culture" in the social sciences for the year 2019.
