At the first edition of the pageant in 1951, there were 21 British entrants and 5 foreign entrants. Competed as Britain in 1951 and Great Britain between 1952 and 1957. Helen Morgan from the United Kingdom, the original winner in 1974, resigned four days after she was crowned Anneline Kriel from South Africa took over. Since 1999, Scotland and Wales have competed individually, and England and Northern Ireland have competed individually since 2000. Won Continental Queen of Beauty of Europe in 1981, 1983, 1984. |
