Amanda Vilanova of Puerto Rico will crown her successor at the end of the event. Note: Netherlands sent one delegate, Holland. They will also send Netherlands. Replacements[edit]
Afghanistan – Adriana Kolebaiu was replaced by Zohra Daoud. Zohra cannot compete due to an car accident. Kolebaiu was the first runner up of Miss Grand Universe Afghanistan 2016 pageant.
Algeria – Marwa Aid resigned her title due to political reasons. 1st runner up, Wassila Bey Omar was selected to compete at Miss Grand Universe 2016.
Bangladesh – Fatimatu Zohra was replaced by Jannatul Ferdoush Peya. Peya cannot compete at the pageant due to political reasons. Fatimatu was the first runner up at Miss Grand Universe Bangladesh 2016 pageant.
Denmark – Isabella Lygne Christensen was replaced by Pernille Sørensen. Sørensen cannot compete due to problems with the Miss Grand Universe Denmark Organization.
Guyana – Niketa Barker was replaced by Keesha Brotherson. Brotherson cannot compete at Miss Grand Universe 2016. Due to competing in two titles, Miss Earth 2015 and Miss Grand Universe 2016.
Malaysia – Santhawan Boonratana was replaced by Jessica Tan. Tan will not compete at the pageant due to not fulfilling her duties as Miss Grand Universe Malaysia. 1st runner up, Santhawan Boonratana assumed the title.
