Orthodox Syrian Sunday School Association of the East (OSSAE) is the Sunday school association of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. It is a spiritual association church.[1][2]
Overview[edit]
OSSAE is a spiritual association of Orthodox church in all parishes worldwide. It nurtures the children in church by bringing them up in the knowledge and fellowship of Jesus Christ and his Church. The classes are conducted in Malayalam in Kerala region and in English in outer Kerala region (OKR). Now Baselios Marthoma Paulose II is the patron and H. G. Dr Gabriel Mar Gregorios Metropolitan serves as the president in Kerala region. There are presidents of OKR and OIR. Now the director general of OSSAE is Rev. Fr. Dr. Jacob Kurien. The head office of OSSAE is in O.S.S.A.E Central Office, Devalokam, Kottayam, Kerala.[3][4]
Curriculum[edit]
The classes are conducted from pre-primary classes to class XII. Sunday School final Certificate (SSFC) were awarded to successful candidates in class 10. A diploma course of two years are for Higher Secondary. The curriculum followed here is jointly prepared and published by the Oriental Orthodox Churches which is revised from time to time. [5][6]

The classes in sunday school ranges from pre-primary to class 12. The classes are divided into different sections.

Orthodox Vacation Bible School[edit]
OVBS is a vacation bible school for children conducted by OSSAE in vacation time. It is a very vibrant wing od OSSAE. The separate text books, devotional materials, song books and cassettes were published for the OVBS every year. Rev. Fr. Mathew Koshy serves as the director and Prof. Dr. Cherian Thomas as publication officer.[7][8][9]

OSSAE-OKR[edit]
This is the Outer Kerala Wing of OSSAE. It is functioning in the dioceses of Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bombay, Brahmavar Calcutta, Delhi and Chennai. H.G. Dr. Abraham Mar Seraphim,is the current President of OSSAE-OKR and Rev. Fr. Dr. Bijesh Philip, principal of STOTS is the current Director General of OSSAE-OKR.[11]
