The Violin Channel
The Violin Channel is a New York City-based classical music news, media, and streaming platform — covering international classical music news across its website, social media, streaming services, app, and email newsletter. It has been referred to by American violinist Joshua Bell as a wonderful resource for musicians and music-lovers.[1]

The program, which has been offered since 2011, spotlights different artist, young artists, or what The Violin Channel refers to as "rising stars" — string soloists and ensembles.
The “Risings Stars” program focuses primarily on pre-college musicians, the “VC Young Artists” program focuses on musicians in college, and the VC Artists Program focuses on those who graduated from the VC Young Artists Program, following them as they work professionally in the industry.
The roster includes Augustin Hadelich, Ray Chen, Noah-Bendix Balgley, Bomsori Kim, Kian Soltani, Yesong Sophie Lee, María Dueñas, Johan Dalene, InMo Yang, Fedor Rudin, Timothy Ridout, Zlatomir Fung, Stefan Jackiw, Stephen Waarts, Charles Yang, the Dover Quartet, and more.
Vanguard Concert Series[edit]
The Violin Channel Vanguard Concert Series (Season One) was filmed in November 2020 in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic, and was streamed internationally online from February to April of 2021. The 10-part online concert series was co-produced by The Violin Channel,[1] the Alphadyne Foundation,[3] Chamber Music International and the Kaufman Music Center.[3]
The series was co-executive produced by The Violin Channel CEO Geoffrey John Davies and Charles Letourneau, in collaboration with Creative Director David Katzive.[1]
Each episode was shot at the Kaufman Music Center's Merkin Hall and produced with a background curved LED wall.[1] New York Magazine called it "a new series that tries to combine the visual polish of a high-tech medium with the excitement of live performance, complete with sweaty brows, passionate grimaces, and the scrape of bow on string."[4]
