| 100 million years | A new supercontinent may form.[11] |
| 300 million years | Saturn will lose its rings.[12] |
| 400 million years | Jupiter’s Great Red Spot storm may finally disappear.[13] |
| 800 million years | The Sun will grow hotter, making Earth harder for life to survive.[14] |
| 1 billion years | Earth’s oceans will likely vanish, ending complex life.[14] |
| 3.5 billion years | Neptune’s moon Triton will break up and form a ring around Neptune.[15] |
| 4 billion years | The Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies collide, forming an elliptical galaxy.[16] |
| 5 billion years | The Sun will expand into a red giant and might swallow Earth.[14] |
| 7.5 billion years | The Sun will shrink into a white dwarf star.[17] |
| 100 billion years | Most stars will have burned out, leaving space cold and dark.[17] |
