WhizAI is an artificial intelligence based business analytics platform for the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries. WhizAI is headquartered in Somerset, New Jersey. The platform uses AI that is pre-trained on life sciences language and data, allowing users to retrieve and analyze data by inputting questions.[2][3]

Founders[edit]

WhizAI was founded in 2017 by Rohit Vashisht, Amitabh Patil and Aaron Carlock. Prior to founding WhizAI, Vashisht had worked in analytics software, and had founded Sverve, which was acquired by Bloglovin' in 2016 and renamed Activate.[4] Patil was Chief Systems Architect at Technology Against ALS, a nonprofit organization.[5] While there, Patil helped to build an in-memory OLAP engine which enabled write backs for scenario planning, used by Fortune 500 companies.[6] Carlock had previously worked at Epic Systems, before founding Vonlay, an IT consulting firm, in 2011[7] which was later sold to Huron Consulting Group in 2014.[8]

History[edit]

In December 2018, WhizAI entered into a $1.1 million partnership with Indian technology company Trigyn Technologies.[9][10]

The company raised $4 million in seed funding in July 2020.[11][12] The round was led by Healthy Ventures, followed by Bling Capital and Firebolt Ventures.[13] As part of the financing, Anya Schiess joined WhizAI's board of directors.[14] As of late 2020, the company had raised over $6.5 million in funding.[15] In September 2020, Vashisht announced plans to expand into the fields of genetics, biotech, and clinical trials.[16]

Services[edit]

WhizAI is a cognitive insights platform designed for life sciences, particularly the pharmaceutical industry.[17] The company specializes in business analytics, and the platform includes data modeling and visualization as well as anomaly detection capabilities.[18]

Technology[edit]

WhizAI’s platform allows users to access and analyze data in real time. The platform's user interface presents complex data as interactive visualizations for ease of access. WhizAI uses AI which is trained on natural language processing, allowing users to input questions via voice, text on web and mobile.[19]
