Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation - Coimbatore[1] is one of the eight transport corporations located in the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation in Tamil Nadu. It is headquartered at No. 43,Tatabad, Mettupalayam Road, Coimbatore.[2]

History[edit]
The public sector owned buses were operating in Tamil Nadu from 1973 under the name of Cheran Transport Corporation with its headquarters in Coimbatore, Jeeva Transport Corporation with its headquarters in Erode and Bharathiar Transport Corporation with its headquarters in Ooty. They were later integrated into a single transport corporation and was renamed as Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation - Coimbatore in 1997. It is also known as 191-CBE.
Bus Operations[edit]
- The TNSTC - CBE operates buses to major cities and towns in Tamilnadu such as Madurai, Tiruchirapalli, Salem, Namakkal, Kumbakonam, Rameswaram, Theni and major cities and towns in Kerala such as Palakkad, Thrissur and Idukki.
- It also operates buses within the major cities and towns in the TNSTC - CBE zone such as Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Dharapuram, Ooty, Pollachi, Gobichettipalayam, Sathyamangalam, Mettupalayam, Avinashi and Palladam.
- It also handles town bus services in Coimbatore District, Tiruppur District, Erode District and Nilgiris District.
