The Cosmic Concept

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Cosmic Concept is one of the central teachings of the Aetherius Society which purportedly extends the ancient wisdom as given by the sages of the past with New Age Spirituality.[1]

Background[edit]

The Aetherius Society is a worldwide spiritual organisation founded by an alleged western master of yoga, George King, in 1955. According to the Aetherius Society the late George King (1919–1997) was designated by advanced spiritual Beings from other planets in this Solar System to become their 'Primary Terrestrial Mental Channel' which promoted him to record over 600 'Mental Transmissions' from extraterrestrials for over 40 years.[2][3] Most of these contacts allegedly came through George King while he was in, what the society claim to be, a 'self-precipited yogic trance'. The contents of these Transmissions include teachings about life on other planets, directives to become more useful humans, the dangers of atomic experimentation, spiritual truths and many other aspects of metaphysics.[4][5][6][7][8]

The Aetherius Society state that this planet has been visited by advanced spiritual Beings for countless millenia in vessels commonly known today as flying saucers or UFO's. George King asserts that the Star of Bethlehem was a space vessel used by the Great Masters to carry out a 'complicated metaphysical operation, the result of which was the immaculate conception of Jesus' whom the Aetherius Society belief came from the planet Venus.[9][10] The society assert that many other spiritual figures in Earth's past such as Buddha, Krishna, Saint Peter, Confucious, Lao Tzu and Patanjali have been the result of greater 'Cosmic Intelligence' introducing a part of its consciousness into the earth's incarnatory life cycle as a form of divine intervention.[11][12]

The Twelve Blessings[edit]

The Twelve Blessings is a series of purported Mental Transmissions given through the 'yogic mediumship' of George King by the 'Venusian' they claim as 'Jesus' from July 27, 1958 through to October 12, 1958. The society claim the Twelve Blessings Transmissions to be an extension of Jesus's Sermon on the Mount some 2,000 years ago and constitute the dual purpose of being a great mystic teaching, as well as a spiritual practice, that all people can use in these days where service to others is the order of the day as we enter the much foretold New Age.[13][14][15]

The Nine Freedoms[edit]

Like the Twelve Blessings, The Nine Freedoms was allegedly delivered through George King while in a 'positive yogic trance' on February 12, 1961 through to March 15, 1961. This time the 'communicator' who allegedly overshadowed George King was a 'Cosmic Beings' from the planet Mars known simply as Mars Sector Six. The Aetherius Society claim The Nine Freedoms to be the most advanced metaphysical teachings yet given to this Earth by 'Space Intelligences' on the eve of the Aquarian Age. The Nine Freedoms describes man's evolution from this Earth into 'Cosmic Service' through various realms and other planets in this Solar System, and beyond, where total experience culminates in his journey into the 'Mighty Sun' (Society's emphasis, Ed), itself.[16][17]

Key Principles[edit]

Some of the key principles of The Cosmic Concept include:

  • The Earth is a living, breathing, highly evolved Being in 'Her' own right. Mankind needs to realise this and act accordingly.[18][19]
  • The closest thing to God in this Solar System is the Sun. This is the underlying reason why the ancients worshipped this as a God. This so-called 'primitive practice' of our ancestors was the result of applied spiritual logic rather than a misplaced worldview.[20][21]
  • The universe is literaly teeming with life and our notion of what constitutes 'Life' is in serious need of revision in the light of greater wisdom.[22][23]
  • The Greatest Religion, the Greatest Science and the Greatest Yoga in these days is Service to others. It is Service to others that will save the world, not theory.....but Practice based on the language of Direct Action.[24]
  • All spiritual organisations have a divine responsibility to teach the 'truth' about karma, reincarnation and service to others as fundamental principles towards successful co-existence on Earth.[25][26]
  • Mankind is at a definite crossroads in his evolution. These are the days of acting upon advice from the 'Masters' or ignoring such 'inspiration' for a lesser path of further limitation.[27]
  • 'Love' is a real, all-pervasive energy which can be contacted by all people. It operates, like electricity, strictly according to law. The true scientist is he who understands and manipulates this energy for the betterment of others.[28]
