Annette (formerly, Palo Prieto)[2] is an unincorporated community in Kern County, California.[1] It is located 6.5 miles (10 km) south-southwest of Orchard Peak,[2] at an elevation of 2,198 feet (670 m).[1]
A post office operated at Annette from 1889 to 1930, moving in 1894.[2] The name honors Annette L. Jenness, its first postmaster.[2]
