Cameron was an unincorporated community in the Tehachapi Mountains, in Kern County, California.[1] It is located on the Union Pacific Railroad 9 miles (14 km) east-southeast of Tehachapi,[2][3][4]
A post office operated at Cameron from 1899[5] to 1922 and for a time in 1923.[2][6] The name honors George W. Cameron, early settler.[2]
