Transformers: Galaxies is an upcoming anthology comic book series by IDW Publishing. It will be a spin-off to 2019's Transformers comic book, featuring various stories about many other characters outside the main storyline.[1]
Publication history
Transformers: Galaxies was first announced in June 2019, with the first story arc based on the Constructicons, and is set to be written by Vox Media co-founder Tyler Bleszinski, with art by Livio Ramondelli, and is set to be released in September 2019.[1][2]
During San Diego Comic-Con on July 18, 2019, IDW announced three other story arcs based on Cliffjumper, Arcee, Greenlight, and Ultra Magnus.[3]
Premise
Transformers: Galaxies will feature backstories based on secondary characters part of 2019's main comic book.
"Constructicons Rising" (#1-4)
- Written by Tyler Bleszinski and drawn by Livio Ramondelli.[1]
The first story arc will narrate what happened to the Constructicons after a war against a faction known as the Threefold Spark.[2]
Cliffjumper's arc (#5-6)
- Written by Kate Leth and Cohen Edenfield.[3]
The second story arc will feature Cliffjumper.
Arcee and Greenlight's arc (#7-9)
- Written by Sam Maggs.[3]
The third story arc will feature Arcee and Greenlight.
Ultra Magnus' arc (#10-12)
- Written by Brandon Easton.[3]
The fourth story arc will feature Ultra Magnus.
