Transformers: Prime (toy line)

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The following is a list of action figures in the Transformers: Prime computer-animated robot superhero TV Series.

First Edition[edit]

Wave 1 of the Deluxe Class toyline was set to be released on an official date of December 1, 2011. The release date of July 2011 was incorrectly stated during BotCon 2011, but the December 1, 2011 date was later confirmed by the Hasbro Brand Team.[1] Although earlier resources stated that Wave 1 was set for release on October 1, 2011[2] or October 11, 2011.[3] For the first wave of the toyline, Hasbro has manufactured a Deluxe and Voyager Assortment of action figures, an Entertainment Pack and a Role Play Blaster.[4] To kick off the toyline Hasbro has also made a San Diego Comic Con 2011 exclusive Deluxe Optimus Prime with the Matrix of Leadership.[4] The first wave's packaging is designed with a metallic and shiny printing of "First Edition" on the left side.[1] A Bumblebee role play blaster was announced to be released in September 2011. It has been announced that Hasbro will produce an Ironhide figure, although there are no plans for having this character introduced in the show.[5]

On January 2012, Hasbro canceled the U.S. release of the First Edition figures beyond the first wave of deluxe figures.[6] At their panel at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con, Hasbro announced that they plan to release the previously canceled figures at Toys R Us stores in November 2012.
