Admission[edit]
Eligibility for admission to the B.Tech program, admission policy, procedure, and the fee structure shall be decided from time to time by following the guidelines issued by the Government of Kerala and other statutory bodies such as KTU, AICTE, etc. Under Graduation (UG) Admission to undergraduate courses is based on the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM), administered by the Government of Kerala, India.[4] A certain percentage of seats are reserved for the children of non-resident Indians (NRIs) and also in the management quota.
50% of seats of the sanctioned intake of students in B.Tech courses are set apart for centralized allotment by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), put together are eligible for Govt. quota admission.
15% seats of the sanctioned intake are provided for the NRI category and allotted to children and dependents of NRIs on the basis of marks obtained for PCM in the qualifying examination. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 45% marks in Mathematics separately and 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), put together are eligible for NRI quota admission. These students are admitted by the Management based on their academic eligibility as per APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University norms and exempted from qualifying in Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination.

National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL)[edit]
SWAYAM NPTEL Local Chapter was established in Travancore Engineering College on 25 November 2021. To improve the quality of higher education in India, IIT Madras came up with an initiative called NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning)[5] in the year 2003.[6] As per this initiative, all the IITs, along with the IISc Bangalore would come up with a series of video lecture-based courses across all the streams of engineering.[7] This initiative has gained wide popularity in India and the lectures are being used by several engineering students from across India. It is the largest online repository in the world of courses in engineering, basic sciences and selected humanities and social sciences subjects.
